Year 9 is the first time in a students life when they actively start to tailor their learning towards their future career goals. As they begin to think about their future, students can sometimes feel anxious, confused, overwhelmed or locked-in to making a decision. This is why we work very hard to help take the stress out of this process. Our senior school staff are dedicated to helping students choose carefully by working with our students to ensure their learning pathway is specifically tailored to meet their personal learning needs, and that they pursue a career that connects with their passions, interests, values and lifestyles.
At the end of Term 2, the Year 9 students participated in the ‘Career Advisory Service’ which is an initiative provided by the Career Education Association of Victoria (CEAV) in partnership with the Department of Education and Training. This term students will meet one-on-one with an accredited careers consultant to discuss the results of their Morrisby online career assessments.
If you have any questions in regards to this process, please do not hesitate to contact your child’s Home Group teacher or our Pathways Leader, Michelle Fitzsimmons.
Together we can take the stress out of these big life decisions!
