As part of HGC’s commitment to fostering the leaders of tomorrow, four students had the opportunity to step into the role of HGC’s Principal for a Day.
Cooper S. was College Principal, Lujain A. was Middle School Principal, Abbey D. was AP (Curriculum) and Jai B. was AP (Operations).
The role of College Principal is complex and these students had big shoes to fill. School leaders are responsible for providing a strategic direction for the school and develop standardised curricula across all areas of the school. They must assess teaching methods, monitor student achievement, encourage parent involvement, revise policies and procedures, oversee budgets, hire staff, ensure safety protocols are followed as well as attend meetings, concerts and assemblies, just to name a few!
But these students were not daunted by the huge task ahead of them! They took their responsibilities very seriously and carried them out flawlessly.
