Meet Our MS Sports Captains

Hi, I’m Maddie and I am so happy to have received the role of Sports Captain!
I am a member of the Athlete Development Academy for Race Walking and Cross Country. Being in the ADA and the programs they provide have helped to build up my mental and physical strength for my sport.
The ADA has taken part in helping me achieve many great results in my sport. In March, I  competed at the Victorian State Championships for Athletics Victoria for the 3km Race Walk, I ended up in 2nd place. I finished with a 31 second PB and National Qualifying Time of 16 minutes 39 seconds. The time I had to get was 17 minutes or under and for a long time, I had tried to get that time.
Unfortunately, due to the circumstances we are in I was never able to compete at nationals, but am resetting my goals and working towards any future races either this year or in 2021.

My name is Jai and I am privileged to be a Sports Captain for 2020 at HGC.

I play footy for Mernda and was awarded the NFL league best and fairest in 2019. I also play Futsal as a goalkeeper. Earlier this year I was lucky enough to be chosen to play for Australia in Spain in a tournament.

I am a member of the ADA (Athlete Development Academy) for year 8. Being a Sports Captain is going to not only help me with my responsibility but also with my confidence and leadership skills.
