Purple Haze – Sports Report!

Sport has kicked off for Term 2 with the college achieving some amazing results in just 3 weeks! These results can only be made possible by having amazing coaches sacrificing their free time to enable our students to compete.

In the last three weeks 216 HGC students have competed from years 4-11.

Primary Cross Country Team:

1st Overall with multiple students progressing to the second round.

Secondary Cross Country Team:

1st Overall with 37 out of 50 students progressing to Northern Metropolitan Region.

Students: well done on your amazing effort! Your dedication to the field of sport has been inspirational.
Coaches: Sherridan Green, Erin Robertson and Bec Hayes. Thank you for training our team at 7:30am on Thursday mornings. You have built an empire that is cross country. Also thank you to all other teachers who have assisted on Thursday mornings.

Year 8 Girls Tennis:

1st In the Northern Metropolitan Region and will be progressing to the state championships to defend their title.

Thomas F. – Placed 10th out of 140 students at the Clay target shooting championships for Hazel Glen recently.

Intermediate Girls Softball – 2nd In the Northern Metropolitan Region finals

There are still hundreds of students ready to represent the college throughout this term in a huge variety of sports. Again without our amazing teachers we could not celebrate this success as a college.
