I am in Year 11 and am extremely grateful to be elected as one of the Hazel Glen College Sports Captains for 2020.
I have an extreme passion for sport, enjoying every sport imaginable. I currently play cricket for Mernda Cricket Club and will be heading into my 9th year playing competitive cricket.
I have captained both club and representative cricket for multiple clubs and the Diamond Valley Cricket Association respectively. Currently, I play under 18’s club cricket as well as first XI A-grade seniors cricket.
I am a passionate Collingwood supporter in the AFL and love to see them win on weekends.
I strive to continue to encourage sportsmanship, participation at the college with my strong passion for sport to all students.
My name is Georgia, and I am this year’s College Sports Captain.
I have had a passion for sport for 17 nearly 18 years. It’s just an amazing feeling to be able to achieve something either individually or as a team.
In previous years I have played Basketball for Eltham Wildcats for nine years, been a part of many primary and high school inter-school sports, helped coach the junior hoop basketball team for HGC, officiated athletic events, trained junior athletes at DVLAC, etc.
I love all sports, but the one I take most seriously is athletics. I have been competing in athletics for 12 years now, and my favourite events are the 100m and 200m. I have been selected for the Victorian team to compete at the National Championships for four years in a row, and successfully made it into finals.
Yes, I enjoy competing, but I also enjoy encouraging those within the sports or those needing a hand.
I am very approachable, so if you see me out in the yard, don’t be afraid to share your achievements and say hi.
