HGC Horse riding champion Georgia B rides to glory!

HGC student Georgia B’s sporting achievements in her sport of choice Mounted Games. Mounted games is a competitive equestrian sport that requires an extremely high level of skill and hand eye coordination and consists of a horse and rider competing in a range of races of which require the rider to mount and dismount a moving horse in a number of different racing events…each event or game as they are referred to require the horse and rider to develop a high level of trust and understanding in each other along with being very athletic & no doubt fearless – this sport is definitely not for the faint hearted.

Georgia currently holds two Australian titles in the sport and is considered one of the top Australian riders in her age group, she will be looking for a third Australian title in Wentworth over the Easter Holiday break in April this year.

Georgia has been selected to accompany the Australian team to Wales in the UK in July this year and will compete in the U17 World Teams event, after completing this competition…she will then go on to Great Britain UK where Georgia will again represent Australia in U17 World Individuals where she will be riding against some of the best riders the sport has to offer. She will do this on a borrowed pony. Georgia has been able to secure a pony from Scotland that she will compete on for both competitions.

We are incredibly proud of her achievements in the sport to date and continue to wish her every success.
