HGC students Mohammad K. and Sarah D. were honoured to be ambassadors for our College at the ‘sod turn’ – a fun and exciting celebration of the start of construction of the Whittlesea Tech School.
Based in Epping, it will open in mid-2018. A shared learning hub for 13 schools teaching the skills for the 21st Century. Ten Tech Schools across the state with high-tech equipment such as 3D printers, AV, robotics and virtual reality just to name a few.
Lots of officials were present including Minister Lily D’Ambrosio along with local members Bronwyn Halfpenny and Danielle Green who made special mention of Hazel Glen College in her speech. HGC students then had the honour of taking part in an official photo opportunity.
Of all the students from the local community in attendance, Mohammad and Sarah were honoured to be the ones selected to officially turn the sod.
We are incredibly proud of you Mohammad and Sarah, and the wonderful way you represented HGC!
