The Internet offers an exciting world of experiences for children and the whole family. It can be entertaining, educational and rewarding—and provides countless opportunities to create, connect and communicate. However, just as in the real world, these rapidly developing technologies also have risks and challenges.
Here at Hazel Glen College, we are constantly educating students and the wider community on how to use the internet safely, both at school and home. We have committed to facing Cyber Safety issues head on!
On Tuesday 7 March all Year 3-8 students will be taking part in a digital safety information session run by a safety officer from the Victorian Police. This is the third year we have run these sessions and we have found them extremely valuable in assisting the students to improve their digital footprint.
To support our community, we are holding a parent Digital Safety Information Session for all College parents on Tuesday, 7th March (7pm) in the College Theatre. This session will cover how to remain safe online, making safe choices and how to support your child in a new world. We welcome all parents to attend this free one hour learning opportunity.
Bookings are essential.
